Hi Everyone, I hope you are all doing well.

Many of you know that I made it to Italy for RR. It was ok. Italy is beautiful but I should have planned a little better and the Euro is an assassin. I think I could have bought Thailand for what I spent on the trip. I went to Rome, Florence, Pisa and Venice. Venice was my favorite and not just because that’s where I got some killer sushi and pizza. Venice is relaxing because there are no cars trying to run you over and the piazzas are big and full of people enjoying the day in little cafes.

My next RR!! RR kinda helps you keep going in a place like Iraq. Right now I’m leaning toward Thailand; I need a place cheaper then Italy. A place where I can lie on the beach and have girls bring me stuff. I have an older friend here in Iraq who has a girlfriend in Thailand and is building a house there. He says I can have a massage for 4 bucks and that includes the beer…..not a bad deal!!! (Oh! And my airfare is free.) My friend also said the people always smile and that you have to smile a lot too. I should be good at that!!!! I still have time to change my mind but the diving looks great, the tsunami is mostly behind them, they are smiling again and the view in Phuket and Phi Phi Island are kinda nice.

Maybe I’ll meet a nice girl who dives and won’t mind opening my beer.

Anyway, I hope you all are doing well and congrats to everyone who now has an addition to the family and to those of you who are uniting to form a new family. I’m truly happy for you. I wish I could be there to celebrate with you guys. Boy do things change fast.
